This year’s Young Chef Competition was held at Nicholas Chamberlaine Technology College on Friday 29th November. The standard of this year’s presentations excelled anything previous, thus ensuring the judges did not have an easy task. The competitors were given an hour and a half to produce a starter and main course which were served on their previously laid tables, which also carried a percentage of marks towards the final decision.

The judge’s final decision placed Zak Kuszny in 3rd place. He had produced a Mexican bean dip with tortilla chips as a starter, followed by Chilli Con Carne.

Allana Prosser presented a stuffed pepper as a starter followed by Chicken Katsue with onion.

The ultimate prize went to Arabella Hawkins for her beautifully presented meal consisting a cheese coated mushroom with a fish pie accompanied by carrot sticks rolled in a part courgette. We wish Arabella and Allana well in the next round of the competition.
